Holly first became inspired to become a childbirth educator in 2007 after the birth of her son with a terrific midwife and an amazing doula. In 2010, Holly completed her training to became a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, with the goal of empowering women in birth through knowledge and evidence-based practice. She was inducted in the Fellow Academy of American Childbirth Educators in 2019. A previous educator, Holly brings engaging and inspirational methods to her childbirth classes, and believes deeply in the process of birth and the ability of women to birth on their own terms.
Holly became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2017 to further support nursing families and their babies. She previously worked as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor with the Santa Fe WIC office, and at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, assisting postpartum families as their full time Lactation Consultant, and came full circle to become the Lactation Manager for New Mexico WIC. An ardent advocate for midwifery, and dyad-centered labor and birth practices, Holly is very passionate about the birth process and supporting birthing parents in this epic journey.
In addition to her love of all things birth and breastfeeding, Holly has a penchant and adoration for the written word, and completed her MFA in Writing in 2020. She lives with her family in Santa Fe, NM. Her current focus is intimacy coaching where she assists singles and couples with maximizing pleasure through communication skills and physical technique, particularly for prenatal and postpartum birthers and families.
